Reporting an incident to Truckpol
TruckPol is a public / private sector partnership, supported by the Home Office, Association of Chief Police Officers and industry stakeholders from haulage, insurance, security and manufacturing. This partnership is crucial in sharing information on national road freight crime and delivering solutions, that can, minimise the opportunities for criminals to target business.
TruckPol assist all UK police forces by disseminating intelligence on criminals and hosting meetings between the Police and industry. TruckPol also assist all stakeholders by acting as a central point of contact for enquiries.
Operation Dent has recently been launched as the new name for the national operation collating information and intelligence into freight crime. It is hoped by giving freight crime an Operational name will in turn give it a national identity and in turn raise the profile of freight crime with all police officers.
If you need to report an actual crime or attempted crime, you must do so by contacting your local Police Force. It is essential that the crime is reported as soon as possible, as directly as possible, to Police who can supply the resources to react.
