Trucks are essential to the UK economy - and that must be recognized.

We are proud to have a road haulage profession that is efficient, responsive and perhaps the safest in Europe - and we aim to ensure that it stays that way. Haulage operations are perennial targets for high taxes, more regulation and controls and that is being given a new twist with the green agenda and climate change.

The RHA is at the forefront of political activity, representing your interests with Government, in Europe, in local affairs as well as with other industry bodies. We are constantly campaigning on your behalf and gather your views at regional and specialist group meetings, events and seminars.

• RHA Conditions of Carriage
  Recognised as the industry standard, RHA Conditions are exclusive for RHA members. If you do not use them, under Common Law, you could be held responsible for the full value of the load being carried and for any losses arising from damaged delivery.

• Use of RHA Logo
  Show your support and let others know you are a member of the RHA by displaying the logo on your trucks, emails, website and marketing literature.

• Active Campaigning on members’ behalf
  The RHA runs and supports dedicated campaigning on behalf of the haulage industry, representing its members and gives expert advice and information coupled with developing business services tailored to the haulage industry.

• RHA Policy provides representation at all levels
  The RHA provides an active lobbying service which is accessible to members and engages with Government at every level. This has a tangible influence on the industry and the way it is regulated.

• Deliver UK
  We aim to take our campaigning one step further. We want to ensure that policy makers understand the vital role of the road haulage industry within our economy.

• Dedicated Area Managers
  Representing the RHA on the ground, area managers visit members, attend meetings with VOSA, local Highways Agency and Customs and Revenue. Area managers also deliver services such as contract of employment and systems and procedures audits.

  Members can advertise return loads for fellow RHA members.

  Members can participate in the weekly fuel survey and receive the survey results.

• Roadway Magazine
  Members receive eleven complimentary issues a year, the magazine provides up-to-date information about issues affecting members and the industry as a whole.

• Haulage Manual
  The Haulage Manual is the one stop shop for key information you need to help run a compliant and safe operation.

In addition to the above benefits RHA offers a host of services including the Hauliers Shop, training, tacho-analysis, legal expenses insurance and compliance services.

For a small fee members can also join one of our specialist groups such as the International Group, which can be very beneficial for those operating overseas.

We also have business partners who provide fuel-card services, financial services, credit card, communications and rescue and recovery on a pay-as-you-go service.
