About the Livestock and Milk Hauliers Group

Membership of the group is open to hauliers specialising in the carriage of livestock or dairy products.  Specialist RHA Conditions of Carriage which have become the industry standard are available for livestock transport, as are Conditions for the Carriage of Bulk Liquids for milk hauliers.

Livestock and Milk Hauliers GroupThe aims of the group are to promote the interests of members in sector-specific matters, to provide advice to members and to provide information.  The group works through the Secretary and an elected Committee which meets three times a year.

The group maintains formal and informal communication with Government and its agencies and with other representative trade bodies, including the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC), National Farmers Union (NFU), Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and have an active voice within European livestock transport (ELT), with the objective to improve the standards required within animal welfare regulations.

All group members are encouraged to provide input into issues arising from Government, including DfT, VOSA, DVLA, HSE and other bodies that may affect activities undertaken by the group.

Socially the highlight of the year is the increasingly popular Agricon conference which is organised in conjunction with the National Agricultural, Foods & Tipping Group.

Membership of the group is subject to a fee of £20.00.
