Specialist Groups

Within the Association there are a number of business sector groups. Membership of these groups provides a useful forum for the exchange of information and ideas between those involved in the particular sectors. Some groups charge a small annual subscription, others are free.

For those who regularly transport motor vehicles on or in specialist multi-vehicle transporters. Specialist RHA Conditions of Carriage are available to members of this Group. RHA Members specialising in the transportation of motor vehicles on multi-vehicle transporters are represented by the business sector group known as the RHA Car Transporters Group. For those involved in the transport of caravans, holiday homes, park homes or boats. This Group has its own RHA Conditions of Carriage. RHA Members specialising in the transportation of Park Homes, Caravan Holiday Homes, Caravans and Boats are represented by the business sector group known as the Caravan Hauliers Group. Members of the Group also carry site offices, classroom units and other types of temporarily sited buildings. Secretary: Nick Deal

Membership is open to hauliers who operate vehicles under STGO regulations or have vehicles which comply with C&U Regulations engaged in operations under the terms of STGO. Secretary: Ray Engley Assistant: Julia Brook-Brazendale

March Bulletin

Membership of the group is open to hauliers specialising in the carriage of livestock or dairy products. Specialist RHA Conditions of Carriage which have become the industry standard are available for livestock transport, as are Conditions for the Carriage of Bulk Liquids for milk hauliers. Membership of this group is open to hauliers within the agricultural and aggregates industries and those operating tippers in other sectors. Secretary: Steve Biddle Assistant: Julia Brook-Brazendale

Open to RHA members who are involved in the bulk carriage of liquids, powders and gases in road tankers or tank container vehicles.

The Transport, Warehousing & Distribution Group, in common with other Groups of the Association, is established to represent the interests of members engaged in certain aspects of the hire or reward sector of the road transport industry.

Hauliers regularly engaged in the carriage of waste, whether it be wet or dry, toxic or non-toxic, are eligible for membership of this Specialist Group.
