Heavy Haulage

Membership is open to hauliers who operate vehicles under STGO regulations or have vehicles which comply with C&U Regulations engaged in operations under the terms of STGO.

The aims of the group are to promote the interests of members in sector-specific matters, to provide advice to members and to provide information.  The group works through the Secretary and its elected Committee, which meets three times a year

The group maintains formal and informal communications with Government and its agencies and with other representative trade bodies, including the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), Highways Agency (HA), Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) as well as railways, waterways, bridge and structure owners.

All group members are encouraged to provide input into issues arising from Government, including DfT, VOSA, DVLA , HSE and other bodies that would affect the work activities undertaken by that group.

Membership of the group is subject to a fee of £25 + VAT.
