If you inspect or service HGVs, you can now obtain IRTEC accreditation (valid for 5 years) through RHA Training. IRTEC is an independent accreditation and validates the competence of technicians working to maintain commercial vehicles and trailers.

Developed by the Institute of Transport Engineers (IRTE), IRTEC is recognised as the industry benchmark of competence that provides technicians with formal acknowledgement of their skills. 

Not only does it enhance the employer's commitment to excellence, but it also gives aspiring technicians a recognised career path.

It will actively help improve standards of vehicle maintenance and consequently road safety. Technicians are assessed every 5 years, ensuring their knowledge is current and reaches the desired standard before each renewal
