The Department for Transport (DfT) has issued a letter with an update on the parking ban in Kent.
In their letter, DfT clarified that Kent’s officials should not be enforcing against truckers parked in the county when they’re taking their statutory rest breaks.
This comes after Kent County Council recieved DfT approval to enforce a temporary HGV parking ban to better manage traffic chaos caused by Brexit. They’ve also announced an appeals process for firms who feel they were enforced against unfairly.
