Increase HGV Apprentice funding to £27k, RHA tells government, as courses become 'unviable'

We need more colleges to be able to offer HGV technician apprenticeships. For many providers it’s no longer viable, our skills lead, Sally Gilson told FE Week.
We urge the Government to increase the funding band to the maximum level (£27,000) to incentivise colleges to run those much-needed courses amid a growing shortage. Support currently stands at £20,000.
