Roadway: August issue out now

Our features in the August issue investigate agency working, and the challenges being made to our current planning system, in the continual effort to bring decency and good service to the nation’s truckstops. We have reaction to the news of government road investment, and local road charges, and a plea for action on the failings of the Clandestine Entrant Civil Penalty Scheme (CECPS). We have news of an initiative to chart the cost of HVO: an important step to formalise the uptake of this transitional fuel.
The summer has seen good deal of activity across the Association’s industry forums, including those covering Innovations and Leadership, and the inaugural meeting of the new Skills Forum, a subject we also cover in a profile of ABE Ledbury, a haulier developing its skills base by nurturing its own talent.
The Association’s Specialist Groups have once again been active, and we have news from the TWPD Group and its visit to Morgan Motors. We also have the latest information on the upcoming series of free Traffic Commissioner seminars, running during October and November.
