Security Alert

Vehicle fleet owners and motor vehicle and tyre centres have been put on a security alert by South Worcestershire Police after almost £7,000 worth of batteries were stolen from the Worcester and Malvern areas.

Between 1500 hours on 16th January and 0500 hours on 18th January a total of 22 new batteries, with an estimated value £6,600, were taken from lorries parked at the Malvern Hills District Council depot. Earlier that same week, A further 70 batteries - all destined for scrapping but valued at a total of £140 - were stolen from an address in Worcester.
