The Diabetes Safety Organisation

Kate Walker is the CEO of DSO- Diabetes Safety Organisation. 

We have been working with Kate for over a year now, Kate has presented at our Scottish conference, Transport and Warehousing group and to all employees at the RHA raising awareness of Diabetes and how Type 2 in particular can be prevented.

The RHA have recently signed up to the DSO charter and have planned numerous activities to support raising awareness across the road transport sector.

Arthur Ellis

They exist to raise funds and provide counselling support to children and young people, the work they do with organisations funds this.
 
We have worked with Jon Manning- CEO of Arthur Ellis for almost 2 years now, Jon provided training on Mental Health and Wellbeing to our leadership team and ran an insightful session for all staff at our Staff Recognition day last year. The training for organisations is based on preventative strategies to aid good mental health and wellbeing. 

 

Member Assistance Programme

The RHA’s Member Assistance Programme (MAP) which is a confidential service to help people deal with personal or work-related challenges. It's a 24/7/365 service run by PAM Wellbeing, staffed by qualified counsellors to offer support to those that need it.


The services are also available to their immediate family members and managers can also call to ask for advice on how best to assist employees that are going through difficult times.
