National Coach Week 2026
12–18 October 2026
Coaches Make it Happen
National Coach Week returns from 12–18 October 2026 to celebrate the people, businesses and operators who keep the UK moving.
This year's theme, "Coaches Make... Happen", shines a spotlight on the countless moments that simply wouldn't happen without coaches. From taking fans to major sporting events and families on holiday, to getting children safely to school, supporting tourism, connecting communities and stepping in when other transport can't, coaches are an essential part of everyday life.
Throughout the week we'll be celebrating the industry's contribution, sharing stories from across the country and reminding everyone just how much coaches make possible.
Why National Coach Week?
Coaches are one of Britain's unsung success stories.
Every day they help millions of people travel safely, sustainably and affordably. They support tourism, hospitality, education, sport, culture, retail and local economies, while providing jobs for thousands of people across the UK.
Yet despite the enormous contribution they make, the coach sector is often overlooked.
National Coach Week is about changing that.
It is an opportunity to celebrate the industry, recognise the people behind it and demonstrate to politicians, stakeholders and the wider public why coaches deserve greater recognition as an essential part of the UK's transport network and economy.
What will happen during National Coach Week?
Across the week we'll be showcasing the many ways coaches support everyday life through a series of themed campaign days, highlighting everything from education and tourism to sport, festivals and holidays.
The campaign will be driven through social media, member stories, case studies, videos and photography, with operators, drivers, passengers, partners and supporters all encouraged to share their experiences.
We'll also continue engaging with politicians, industry partners and stakeholders to raise the profile of the coach sector and champion the issues that matter most to operators.
