This one-day Banksman Instructor Training Course is designed for experienced personnel who want to deliver high-quality vehicle marshalling (banksman) training within their organisation. This intensive programme equips candidates with both the technical knowledge and instructional skills needed to train others safely and effectively.
Over the course of the day, participants will refresh their understanding of safe vehicle manoeuvring, common workplace hazards, legal responsibilities, and recognised hand signalling techniques. The course also focuses on how to plan and deliver engaging training sessions, assess learner competence, and maintain training standards in line with current health and safety expectations.
By the end of the course, candidates will be able to confidently instruct others in banksman duties, helping to reduce the risk of accidents involving moving vehicles in the workplace. The training typically combines classroom-based learning with practical exercises to ensure a well-rounded and hands-on experience.
