Coaches – DfT warns of likely Dover and Eurotunnel delays this weekend

09 Feb 2024 Posted By Joe Scotting

The Department for Transport (DfT) advises operators to anticipate heavy traffic delays at the Port of Dover and Eurotunnel this weekend.

DfT urge travellers to ensure they are prepared for delays, recommending all drivers have their documents open on ID pages when arriving at border controls. They also suggest bringing snacks, water, and any essential medication.

Coach Arrangements

Coaches arriving at the Port of Dover more than three hours before their departure time will not be permitted entry.

All coaches must use the designated Coach Processing Facility in Dover’s Western Docks on Friday 9 (10.30 -21.30 PM), Saturday 10 (11.30-22.30), and Friday 16 February (12.00-23.00).

Keep up to date with local traffic reports and directions from the ports.
