RHA Coaches: Final reminder on exemptions from PSVAR 2000

A final reminder to members currently operating Rail Replacement (RR) Services under an exemption from PSVAR Regulations 2000 that the closing date for applications to continue these for RR (or RR and Home To School (HTS)) services is tomorrow (Tuesday 17 May).

The closing date for applications solely for HTS services is Tuesday 31 May. Applications must be made by these deadlines to ensure continuity of the exemptions.
These medium-term exemptions (MTEs) from Public Service Vehicles Accessibility Regulations 2000 (PSVAR) for Rail Replacement (RR) services (together with combined RR and Home-to-School (HTS) services), will run until 2026 and replace all previous short-term exemptions.
Operators must have an MTE to run HTS and RR services with coaches that are not PSVAR compliant from 30 June (RR) or 31 July (HTS).
