HSE Guidance: Access to Hygiene facilities for drivers.

HSE guidance states that drivers must have access to welfare facilities located in the premises they visit as part of their work. The responsivility in law to provide access rests with the person in control of the premises.

More information and guidance can be found on the letter produced by the Department for Transport and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), to reassure drivers, and to remind businesses of their obligations under the Workplace (Heakth, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, to provide suitable toilet and hand washing facilities to drivers visiting their premises.
