How grassroots engagement drives the RHA’s national voice

Over the past 9 weeks, we’ve been out across the UK meeting members through our Spring regional briefings. This isn’t about running events. It’s about how we stay connected to the industry we represent.

Across 19 regional briefings, held twice a year, we speak directly to operators in every part of the country. This Spring, that’s over 1250 members across 19 locations, spanning all four nations - real businesses, dealing with real pressures.

Alongside that, our Regional Councils meet regularly, bringing together operators from across the four nations. Combined with daily member visits, we are in constant dialogue with the industry - not occasionally, but all year round - That matters.

Because it means when we speak to government, we are not guessing. We are representing what is actually happening on the ground. Operators of all sizes, sectors and with different challenges.
That is what gives the RHA its authority.

This is how we build the evidence, shape our asks and how we make the case for the sector.

This matters beyond our industry - because road transport isn’t optional. It underpins the economy, keeps communities connected and ensures goods and people move every day.

Staying close to our members isn’t a “nice to have”.

It’s the job.
