The Road Haulage Association as part of the Scottish Secure Parking Group (SSPG) calls on hauliers, businesses, local government and members of the public to share their views on lorry parking in Scotland.
The SSPG has launched an anonymous survey and will use the feedback to gather evidence on where the issues are and use it to lobby for more secure HGV parking facilities.
Chris Little, regional policy advisor for the RHA said: “We’re delighted to be working in partnership with other trade organisations, police and government to tackle the lack of secure lorry parking in Scotland. We want to hear about how this is affecting hauliers and communities, where vehicles have been targeted by criminals, and what we can do to improve the situation.
“The SSPG has been working through a number of solutions for some time but we need more evidence to get a greater understand what the problems are and where. This survey is key in helping us do so.”
The survey runs until Friday 25 May.
