Changes to VED rates April 2010

Confirmation that the pre-announced changes outlined in previous Budget and Pre-Budget Reports, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced changes to the rates of vehicle excise duty (VED) to be implemented from 1 April 2010. The Chancellor also announced the introduction in 2010 of different VED rates payable upon first registration of a vehicle. These are known as First Year Rates.
