HGV and PSV Manuals on the Web

On 1 April 2010 the HGV and PSV inspection manuals were made available to everyone including members of the public on the VOSA website.

The main changes you will notice are to the layout. The manuals now have three columns, Information, Method of Inspection and Reason for Failure.

Categorisation of defects (COD) which provides additional information on defects is also available.

The manuals contain the latest updates/changes to inspection procedures with the exception of the latest side guard memo, which is available via r.engley@rha.uk.net if required.

Currently there are no hard copies of the Inspection Manuals available. The introduction of revised testing standards (due to be implemented on 1st January 2012) prevents VOSA from currently reprinting hard copies of the manual. When they are in a position to reprint revised manuals they will do so.
