Sideguards - Amplification Notes for Procedures and Standards

DfT have issued further guidance that examiners must take into consideration before applying reasons for failure as prescribed in the Inspection Manual.

VOSA are continually working with trade bodies and vehicle constructors to ensure those sideguard requirements are met. This, with the advent of EC Whole Vehicle Type Approval will ensure more compliant vehicles, but clearly there will be specific circumstances where some interpretation of the requirements is needed.
