RHA Coaches and ABTA – The Travel Association have launched a new partnership which aims to enhance the benefits received by coach travel companies within each organisation’s membership and amplify the voice of the coach travel sector.
The partnership presents coach members with exciting new opportunities. As such, we have produced an FAQ to underline how this benefits your organisation.
Who are ABTA? – ABTA are a trade association for UK travel agents, tour operators and the wider travel industry.
What does the partnership mean for members? – Bringing two trade associations together with different, but complementary benefits will support coach tour members. ABTA offer benefits such as travel information for tour trips and support with booking issues with customers.
How does the relationship work and what are we trying to achieve? – A key aim of this partnership is to bring coach travel to the heart of tourism and make the benefits of both trade associations more accessible.
In practical terms we will bring our respective members together to work towards solutions on issues affecting our respective memberships.
What are the specific benefits for members? – The partnership widens the scope of support that’s available for members of both associations.
The combined voice of ABTA and RHA will strengthen coach tourism lobbying efforts, both at home and abroad. This includes working on policy areas like school travel and the implementation of the new EU Entry/Exit System.
How much does membership cost? – The cost of membership for both organisations are based on several different factors and will fluctuate on a case-by-case basis.
How can members find out more – there will be a webinar this month to set out the benefits of a new partnership between us. Key figures from the RHA and ABTA will discuss how we’re working together in the interests of our respective members and sectors.
The webinar takes place Thursday 23 May between 10.30am – 12.00pm.
