"Deeds not words": RHA challenges Chancellor to slash business costs following Spring Statement

The economy will grow more slowly this year, the Chancellor said in her Spring Statement within the last hour.

As cost considerations mount and energy prices rise, we're clear - if the Government is committed to growing a healthy economy, we must see action on reducing the cost of doing business.

In today's statement, we heard some warm words on growth and investment. We'll be watching for deeds to match the words.

Ongoing global events means the world has shifted since the Budget. Fuel duty measures must evolve with it. We're urging the Chancellor and Treasury to meet with us urgently on fuel prices. We want Government to partner with key sectors like ours to help firms invest, thrive, and drive forward growth.
