The RHA (Road Haulage Association) is calling on haulage, coach and van operators to share the challenges they’re facing with fuel prices soaring.
The Association continues to keep the pressure on the Government with asks to support the transport sector and the wider economy.
The RHA has launched its Fuel Survey 4 as they ramp up their calls on ministers, having shared the findings of the last three with government and officials to ensure they are understood.
They say it’s vital that operators have their voices heard as they make the strongest case for support.
Richard Smith, RHA Managing Director said governments in Ireland, Spain, France and Italy are supporting transport operators, urging the UK to follow suit.
‘Other countries already back their transport sectors so it’s time the UK did the same.
‘We’re calling on the Government to scrap planned fuel duty rises and introduce an essential user rebate for haulage, coach and van operators to keep costs down.’
In a message to operators, he said: ‘Thanks to everyone who has helped us so far; the stronger the response, the stronger our message. Please complete the survey by Sunday.’

The RHA will also shortly launch its second letter to MPs, giving operators and the wider industry another opportunity to call for an essential user rebate.
