RHA member briefings: Secure your spot for essential industry updates & insight

Our Autumn Briefings are now underway, bringing our members together with key figures who will share their insights on industry developments.

We hold these in-person, free-to-attend sessions across the four nations twice a year (spring and autumn) to help our members stay compliant and to strengthen and protect their businesses. The briefings also give members an opportunity to feedback to us – giving us the insight we need to understand their perspectives on the services and support we offer and issues they want us to tackle.

These are a long-standing and popular feature of RHA membership and are routinely well attended so I always encourage our haulage, coach and van members to take advantage of them.

In this round of briefings we will see a presentations from Traffic Commissioners, who will also deliver a mock Public Inquiry (PI) with RHA legal Services Backhouse Jones.

Officers from the Modern Slavery & Organised Immigration Crime Unit will deliver a presentation on organised immigration crime and the haulage industry.

RHA Insurance Services will discuss freight crime and how to fully insure yourselves with Goods In Transit Insurance along with an introduction to RiskPilot – their claims offering.

Our first briefing in this round is in Durham tomorrow (Wednesday 15 October), and then Bristol on Thursday (16 October), before they pick up again from next week in St Albans on Tuesday (21 October).

Our Northern Ireland briefing in Portadown (Thursday 23 October) will feature a Department for Infrastructure presentation to promote discussion around what happens before, during and after a PI and In Chambers Hearing.

The last of our 18 briefings takes place in Aberdeen on Tuesday 25 November.
