RHA welcomes Iran-US ceasefire, but warns of continued fuel pressure on operators

We welcome the ceasefire and hope this will help stabilise markets. However, prices remain significantly high and the pressure on operators in our industry continues.

Our asks are clear:

-Introduce an Essential User Rebate for HGV, coach and van operators
-Scrap the planned fuel duty increase in September
-Stop linking fuel duty to inflation from April 2027
-Enforce fair payment terms (30 days) to support cashflow

Road transport keeps the country moving. It needs to be supported to do so.
