Upcoming road closure: A46 near Kenilworth

A full 19-day closure from the Stivichall Interchange (Festival Island) to the Thickthorn Island (A452 for Leamington and Kenilworth) will take place from Friday 11 April 8:00pm to Thursday 1 May 6:00am.

Three additional days will be held as a contingency in case of an unforeseen event.

After the closure, there will be lane closures on the north and southbound carriageways with a speed restriction of 50mph until Thursday 31 July.

During the closure, all HGVs must follow the diversion route below:

HGVs travelling to Coventry and onwards to the north, please use the clearly signed diversion M40, M42, M6 east and then rejoin the A46.

For HGVs travelling to Kenilworth, please leave at the Thickthorn Roundabout (A452).

All motorists are urged to utilise the signposted diversion routes and not rely on Sat Nav for directions.
