The RHA has kicked off the annual Autumn Briefings. All tickets are inclusive with RHA membership.

Compliance Matters

RHA Legal Services (Backhouse Jones) will be talking about getting the basics of operator licensing correct to ensure members have a solid compliance foundation.

The team will also be discussing the importance of keeping the Traffic Commissioner appraised of changes in the business that are often overlooked.

Traffic Commissioner Updates

Regional Traffic Commissioners will have a presence at the briefings to provide guidance for operators. They will be discussing current issues and attending in person at many of the briefings below. If a Traffic Commissioner is unavailable, there will be a TC video recording of the topics covered.

Working With the Haulage Industry to Combat Serious and Organised Crime

Criminal gangs have been preying on the haulage industry. These groups often use lorries to smuggle illicit items or traffic vulnerable people. Often, this happens without the driver’s knowledge.

A presentation by the NCA Threat Leadership and BF Intelligence Officers will cover the impact serious and organised crime can have on the industry and provide an overview of current schemes promoting public-private cooperation.
