About RHA Regional Councils

The RHA’s regional councils provide members with an opportunity to shape the policy direction of the Association.

A council is made up of members based in that region that are either elected or co-opted on to it. Council meetings allow members to discuss and debate issues of a regional or national importance that affect the industry.

Each council has an elected chairman and all members serve a two-year term from their election. Members joining by co-option serve until the next election cycle. RHA staff representatives attend council meetings and include the CEO, director of policy, regional director and area managers for the region.

Every two years, each council elects members to sit on the RHA Board of Directors.
