We’d like to thank everyone who came to the RHA area at the Microlise Transport Conference yesterday (Tuesday 19 March) to try out the simulator or hear from us about how we support our members and the wider industry.

Roads Minister, Guy Opperman paid tribute to our industry in his keynote speech and said that more needs to be done to improve driver facilities, tackle freight crime and simplify planning rules. He'd earlier been put through his paces on our truck simulator which we use to help train new drivers.

Our Managing Director, Richard Smith was joined by Phil Roe from Logistics UK, and CILT’s Bethany Windsor on a panel the Coventry Building Society Arena where they spoke about how industry bodies are collaborating through the Alliance of Logistics Trade Associations. This comes as 11 trade associations called on the next Government to appoint a dedicated minister for logistics.

Transaid’s Caroline Barber updated on the fantastic work they're doing transforming lives in sub-Saharan Africa.

Graham Lackey from RHA member, Brit European Transport explained how they’re using innovative ways to reduce their power consumption.
