ADR examination changes – RHA welcomes move

18 Dec 2024 Posted By Joe Scotting

DVSA have announced changes to ADR examinations which should be implemented by providers between 1 January and 1 March 2025.

The main change is to invigilator criteria of the mandatory examinations, the amendments include:

-any individual who delivered the training cannot act as invigilator
-employees of the same company as a candidate can act as an invigilator, as long as they have not been involved in the delivery of the training

Additionally, changes include invigilation of examinations for oversees candidates and those whose location makes it difficult to access an exam.

The RHA welcomes the change as a pragmatic approach to modernising how safety examinations and certifications are delivered as this would reduce the cost to deliver considerably and allow trainees in remote areas to reduce their travel costs.
