National Apprenticeship Week – celebrating Generation Logistics

I was pleased to attend the Generation Logistics reception last night.

As the fifth largest sector in the economy, logistics underpins all other economic activity. Everything we eat, wear and consume depends on logistics services.

In recent years, with the UK leaving the EU and the impact of the pandemic, the importance of the supply chain has been thrown into sharp focus. It is vital that this is maintained, and the sector continues to showcase the range of careers and opportunities on offer.

It was great to catch up with a range of parliamentarians and fellow trade associations including: Shadow Roads Minister, Bill Esterton MP; Lord Waverley; David Wells OBE; Phil Pluck; Jim French MBE; Steve Tuckwell MP and more.
