Operation Brock in effect until 22 December

Operation Brock is in effect until Sunday 22 December for hauliers.

All freight traffic heading to the cross-channel will be required to use the M20 contraflow system to get to the Eurotunnel or Dover Port.

Police and DVSA enforcement teams will be operating across Kent to ensure compliance with the contraflow system.

A permit scheme will be in place if the Port of Dover reaches maximum capacity. Lorries will be filtered down to the port from the M20 with permits issued at the front of the Operation Brock queue.

The Department for Transport advise hauliers to ensure they ample have supplies of food and water, particularly in cold weather.
