The RHA has told BBC that road improvements boost economic growth.
James Barwise, RHA policy lead, appearing on BBC Politics South East yesterday (Sunday 16 June), said new road projects are essential to make journeys more efficient amid concerns that a Labour government could push back plans for the A27 Arundel Bypass in Sussex.
We welcome Labour's plan to prioritise dealing with the scourge of potholes on our highway network. However, this must not come at the expense of deferring schemes which are essential for tackling congestion and creating reliable journey times for hauliers and motorists alike, such as the A27 bypass.
