The RHA is pleased to announce the partnership between She’s RHA and Creating Inclusive Cultures (CIC).
Creating Inclusive Cultures is the brainchild of Charlotte Sweeney OBE and is a collaboration of companies and employers who are committed to realising and take advantage of the benefits of diversity and inclusion. It provides a forum for businesses to share best practice and who want to create a thriving workplace for everyone.
There is an acute driver shortage in the road transport sector. It has an aging workforce (the average age of an HGV driver is 55) and because of the cost of training, there are not enough new entrants coming through the system.
Upcoming CIC Events
Join the CIC for the Transparency and Truths events programme which focuses on how to tackle and transform transparency and truths in the workplace, to harness the power of diversity. Both the chargeable and free events are open to RHA members.
Tuesday 14 May - CIC Transparency and Truths: Attraction and Retention of Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority Employees
A recent PwC report highlighted that very few organisations are ready to share their ethnicity pay gap data and evidence shows that BAME employees continue to be under represented in senior roles, across all sectors.
The CIC Innovation Forum will offer you the opportunity to explore the issues and will focus on the following:
- What aspects of organisational culture get in the way of BAME progression?
- What leadership behaviours help or hinder BAME progression?
- What can organisations do collectively to disrupt the status quo and create real change?
This event will take place on Tuesday 14 May: 9.15am – 12.30pm and is kindly hosted by Yorkshire Building Society in their office on the Head Row in Leeds.
