A report on the driver shortage

29 Jul 2021 Posted By Josh Reynolds

In June wrote to members, and reached out to non-members on social media, to ask questions relating to the current driver shortage crisis the haulage industry is currently dealing with.

We received 616 sets of results that were suitable for analysis and insight into the causes and effects of the driver shortage crisis.

Various were asked questions to the gauge perceived cause(s) of the driver shortage, as well as inquiring into current vacancy levels and agency rate increases in the industry.

This information has supported our 12-point plan to tackle the driver shortage and to liaise with government in order to help solve this crisis.

We have presented these results in the following document, and we thank all those who answered this survey for your extremely valuable contribution to our information on the industry. View the results here
