The latest ONS figures, released last week show our economy grew by 0.7% in the first three months of 2025, which is better than the 0.6% economists predicted. While this is very welcome news and there’s room for optimism, we still need to keep things in perspective.

Today's growth figures are positive, but we still have a long road ahead. We’ll continue to collaborate with other business and trade bodies in the coming months. We've a collective responsibility to advance policies that enable growth and investment, and to caution against measures that risk stifling both.
