Stockport-based RHA member Belle Vue has launched accredited coach driver training courses.
The company’s training courses are available to drivers employed by other operators and accredited by the Road Transport Industry Training Board.
Belle Vue managing director Phil Hitchen said, “we want to improve customer service delivery levels not just within our business but on a wider scale too.
“It’s important to provide ongoing training to drivers for them to work more safely and be up to date with current laws and compliance requirements.
“Having our own in-house provision helps us to recruit, retrain and retain staff ourselves, and ensure we continue to deliver a high-quality performance and the highest standards of customer service.”

RHA Policy Lead for Skills Sally Gilson said, “The investment Belle Vue are making into their training school will not only ensure the sector has new drivers entering the industry but also that the quality and professionalism of our coach industry is maintained.”
We welcome the Government’s recent commitment to move to a Growth and Skills Levy to provide greater flexibility for levy payers. It’s vital that funding for training of key roles such as drivers and technicians is included within these reforms. We need dynamic skills funding that can react quickly to the changing needs of businesses, especially when it comes to future skills.
